Be still

This poem came about shorty after my divorce in 2015. I was naturally worried about this new direction in which Life was taking me, and my mind was doing overtime in trying to ‘manage’ this transition. And then, as I drove the long road between Stockholm and Amsterdam, stopping off to stretch my legs, exhausted from worry, these words crept into my heart and brought me back to my deeper self.

be still

Be still

Be still.
Just breathe
And I will breathe through you.

Be still.
Just breathe
And all will be well.

Heart, be still
and let me breathe through you.

Breathe, just breathe, and all will be well.

Mind, be still
let me soften your fury.

Breathe, just breathe, and all will be well.

My Love,  so gentle
let it flow through you
Breathe and be still
because all will be well.
